Reclaim the Night is Nottingham’s biggest and loudest annual grassroots march against all forms of male violence against women. We’re looking for someone to oversee all elements of event planning, management, and communications, with the support of the existing Reclaim the Night Steering Group.
Once a year, women come together to stomp, sing, dance, and shout their way through Nottingham City Centre in a tradition dating back to the 1970s. In 2025, Reclaim the Night Nottingham will be taking place on Saturday 18th October. Reclaim the Night Nottingham is an inclusive, non-partisan event open to all women, including trans women. The freelance Event and Communications Co-ordinator will oversee all elements of event planning, management and communications, with the support of the existing Reclaim the Night Steering Group.
Responsible to: Head of Policy and Communications, and Reclaim the Night Steering Group
Location: Flexible (required to attend the in-person march in Nottingham city centre on 18th October 2025)
Hours: 2 days/week over September and October 2025 (worked flexibly across that period)
Payment: £2,500 (plus any expenses)
