Jo’s experience of using our will-writing scheme

As you may know we recently launched our Make a Will scheme. During March and April, you can book an appointment with one of our participating solicitors to make or update your will.  The solicitors have all agreed to donate their fee for making or updating your will to Nottingham Women’s Centre because they, like us, believe in trying to make Nottingham, and the world, a better place for women and girls. Making a will is really important, yet it’s one of the things that many of us never quite get round to.

Jo’s experience of making a will

“As someone who has thought on and off for years that I really need to get around to writing my will I was delighted when I saw the Nottingham Women’s Centre will writing scheme #LeaveItToHer. I took advantage of this scheme to donate much needed funds to the Women’s Centre while getting a great price for a professional will writing service. The solicitor at Clegg’s Solicitors was very helpful, which made putting together my will really straightforward and easy. I now have peace of mind that should anything happen to me my wishes will be carried out and my loved ones cared for.”

To get an appointment, or for more information, you can contact us on either wills@nottinghamwomenscentre.com or by calling us on 0115 941 1475 and we will give you all of the information you need to get set up for writing or updating your will.

Meet the Team – Nathalie

Nathalie

Hi, I’m Nat, and I joined Nottingham Women’s Centre in June 2016.

With a background in the not-for-profit and charity sector, it was only natural to apply for a position where I could help make a difference in the local community.

My day-to-day role here at the centre, is predominantly in providing operational, financial and HR support to senior management.  Currently, I’m looking at ways we can implement good working practices, and reduce our impact on the environment.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is building and maintaining relationships, to help contribute to the smooth running of the centre and to ensure we meet the expectations of those who use our services.

During my time here so far, I’ve really enjoyed working with colleagues to support them to carry out their roles as effectively as possible.

Nottingham Women’s Centre is a great place to work with a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and it was great to start out here, just as the misogyny hate crime campaign was being elevated to the next level!

When I’m not working, I’m watching live music, baking, swimming and generally spending as much time outside as possible (without burning).
