The Counselling Service at Nottingham Women’s Centre is part of the RENEW project and is staffed by trainee counsellors, all of whom are undertaking a Level 7 BACP/UKCP accredited training course. The service is open to any woman, who needs some support to address problems she is facing in her life. Women come with a variety of different problems; there is none too big or too small. We offer up to 24 sessions of individual counselling and the opportunity to take part in group therapy. To find out more about our counselling service, please download our information booklet here:
Please be advised that the current wait for counselling is 3-6 months. Unfortunately we are unable to provide this service for free, fees are charged on a sliding scale based on income, please see our leaflet for further details.
The empowerment groups are run by our sessional therapist Nikki. They aim to help women to build confidence and self-esteem, through building a sense of group identity and empowering women to make a bridge out into their own world. Groups will run for 12 weeks in a relaxed and supportive setting with a maximum of 10 women per group. For more information, download the flyer here:
