International Women’s Day 2017

Could you share a skill or talent for International Women’s Day?

Are you a woman who has a skill to share, or do you know a woman who has?  We are inviting volunteers to come and run activities and workshops at the Women’s Centre. We are looking for talented women who can volunteer with us for an hour or two at our International Women’s Day celebrations on Wednesday 8 March, between 11am and 2pm.

If you can lead a group to sing together, drum, dance, create something or can lead a discussion on a theme related to International Women’s Day, please get in touch! Please email us by Friday 17th February on with details of what you can offer.

Celebrating Volunteers Week With Afternoon Tea!

Here at Nottingham Women’s Centre, so much of what we do is possible only because of the skills, commitment and dedication of our volunteers.

To mark national volunteers week and, most importantly, to say thank you to our wonderful volunteers, we set 7 June aside for our volunteers to have some fun and treats.

We began the day with a trip to play adventure golf, which led to the discovery of some hitherto hidden talents, not to mention some surprising competitive streaks!

After the golf, some of our volunteers came back to the Women’s Centre to relax and enjoy afternoon tea  – although it was difficult to persuade some of them to sit down and take it easy for once!

All of the staff here at the Women’s Centre say a huge “thank you” to all of the amazing women who volunteer here and enable us to do so much more than we otherwise could.
