Julia and Lisa were invited to attend a garden party at Caunton Manor last weekend hosted by Sir John Peace, the Lord Lieutenant of Nottingham. Sir John and his Deputies thanked Nottingham Women’s Centre and the other voluntary sector organisations on behalf of the Queen for all their hard work, particularly the efforts of all our volunteers. It was a lovely, very hot afternoon and they enjoyed meeting and getting to know some of the other charities and participants for the first time.
Could you share a skill or talent for International Women’s Day?
Are you a woman who has a skill to share, or do you know a woman who has? We are inviting volunteers to come and run activities and workshops at the Women’s Centre. We are looking for talented women who can volunteer with us for an hour or two at our International Women’s Day celebrations on Wednesday 8 March, between 11am and 2pm.
If you can lead a group to sing together, drum, dance, create something or can lead a discussion on a theme related to International Women’s Day, please get in touch! Please email us by Friday 17th February on firstname.lastname@example.org with details of what you can offer.
