Thanks once again to Tom and all the team at Reggae Takeover for their amazing support in honour of International Women’s day. This is now the third year that they have raised money for us and this year it was a whopping £500.
On the night, artists included SOOM T and CAYA Soundsystem and guests had a great time enjoying the music and learning more about our work.
Women’s Centre Manager Melanie Jeffs said: “We couldn’t do what we do without supporters like Reggae Takeover. This is such an amazing amount of money for us, it will enable us to deliver twenty-five counselling sessions for women who really need our help and support”.
Thank you to everyone who attended.
We’re delighted to announce another new charity partnership! CL4Women, a Nottingham-based financial planning service by women, for women, has chosen to support Nottingham Women’s Centre as its official charity.
Jo Noon, Head of CL4Women, says: “there’s real synergy between our work and Nottingham Women’s Centre – we’re both all about putting women in control of their own lives and I’m really excited about supporting the Centre in the future”.
Guests at the CL4Women launch party at Hart’s restaurant on 26 October got to find out more about our work here at the Women’s Centre and raised over £300 at a raffle held on the night. Our thanks go to everyone who took part.
