Share your story – Help us make Misogyny a nationwide Hate Crime!

Women of Notts!

Can you share your story to help put an end to harassment and violence against women and girls?! We invite you to add your voice to the campaign to make Misogyny a nationwide Hate Crime! 

The more voices we have, the louder we will be heard!

The Law Commission will be visiting Nottingham on the 13th June. They are a government body who look at how laws can be improved and updated, then make recommendations to parliament. They are currently reviewing UK laws on hate crime, including whether to make misogyny a hate crime across the country.

They are interested in the following types of stories:

  1. Audio recording– Please use the questions from the above link to talk about your story. This is a highly impactful way for you to share your story in your own voice. Please note that by sending this file, you consent to the Centre sharing your story with the Law Commission to inform their report. This report will be made publicly available but all stories will be anonymised. You may submit in more than one format. All submissions must be received by no later than Sunday 2nd June.

Additionally, there may be an opportunity to present your story face-to-face when the Law Commission come to visit Nottingham on the afternoon of 13th June.
