Call for Focus Group participants!

January 2018 saw the launch of a major piece of research, commissioned by Nottingham Women’s Centre and funded by Nottinghamshire PCC, to evaluate the success of the misogyny hate crime policy in Nottinghamshire. The research is being led by Dr Loretta Trickett from Nottingham Trent University, with Professor Louise Mullany from the University of Nottingham.

There’s already been an incredible response, with hundreds of people completing the anonymous online survey. Anyone still wishing to complete the survey can do so by clicking on the following link: https://ntupsychology.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eDpPGKQJdDKmNo1

Researchers will be conducting a number of single sex focus groups with local women and men who would like to have their say on the policy. We are asking anyone wishing to take part in one of these focus groups to email saferforwomen@nottinghamwomenscentre.com to register their interest.

Individual interviews with women who have reported an incident under the scheme will also be conducted. If you would like to share your experience with the researchers please contact saferforwomen@nottinghamwomenscentre.com

As a token of our thanks, everyone attending a focus group or interview will be given a £10 Intu gift card in appreciation of their time and commitment.

We hope to launch the findings in May.
