About UsNottingham Women's Centre began in 1971 and is run by women, for women. It is a city-wide community centre in the heart of Nottingham, offering a safe environment for women to: get involved in a wide range of training; gain careers and training Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG); gain extra skills by doing voluntary work; meet new people; receive counselling on a variety of topics; access in-house creche and holiday play schemes; gain access to crisis support, advice and information services T.E.D.The Training, Employment and Development Project is a major part of Nottingham Women's Centre. It offers training courses and manages workspaces for women to start their own businesses. Courses include: English as a second language; basic skills; self-confidence building; IT training and qualifications; one-to-one sessions providing careers & training Information, Advice, and Guidance; and arts and crafts. T.E.D. is particularly interested in supporting women who are disadvantaged.

WELCOME SPACEThe Welcome Space is an area where women are encouraged to meet up with others, hold small meetings, access information materials on women's issues, or just relax with a coffee in our comfy chairs! The T.E.D. project and Nottingham Women's Centre in general, has very
close links with a variety of support groups who are based at the centre.
